Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss, a bluegrass fiddler from Tennessee who was 19, was a major national celebrity in 1990 after getting the Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album. The award was impressive not only because of her age, as the album that was a part of her success, I've Got That Old Feeling, was actually the third in Krauss's collection. Too Late to Cry was the first album she released in her Champaign Illinois resident's age of sixteen. Her contract was already in place with Rounder Records, one of the most prestigious folk labels even at 14. Krauss's achievements at such a young age, and as well as her ability to play the guitar, has been consistently supported by her ability to maintained her devotion to bluegrass, one of America's most enduring and most unappreciated musical genres. Krauss is now an adult, having grown from being a teenager phenom to an accomplished musician and producer. Alison Alison Alison
